Privacy notice
FoundaDate introduces verified founders to people who want to build a life with one. Trust is the whole product, so this notice explains plainly what we collect and why. We follow Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
Who we are
FoundaDate is based in Singapore. You can reach us, including our Data Protection Officer, at hey@foundadate.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your name, email, whether you are joining as a founder or a partner, your company name (founders only, optional), the city you live in, and whether you joined through someone's invite link.
- How you found us: the campaign tags in the link you used (for example utm_source) and the website that referred you. We use this to learn which channels work.
- Membership (later): if you are invited to a round, identity details from Singpass Myinfo that you choose to share (such as name, date of birth and marital status), company details from the business registry for founders, your questionnaire answers and your one question.
We do not collect your NRIC number for display, and nothing you give us is ever shown publicly.
Why we use it
- To keep your place on the waitlist and contact you about the pilot.
- To verify that members are real, single and, for founders, actually founders.
- To suggest introductions. Software proposes matches and a person reviews every one.
- To run dinners and keep the community safe.
We never sell personal data and never use it for advertising by others.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers, each under contract: Supabase (database), Resend (email delivery), Cloudflare (website hosting and bot protection) and SiteGround (our mailbox). Some of these store data outside Singapore, including in the United States and Japan. Where data leaves Singapore, we require protection comparable to the PDPA.
How long we keep it
Waitlist details are kept until the pilot ends or you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Member data is kept while you are a member and deleted within 30 days of you leaving, except where the law requires us to keep a record.
Your choices
- Ask what we hold about you, or correct it.
- Withdraw consent and have your data deleted. Reply "delete" to any email from us, or write to hey@foundadate.com.
We reply within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the people who run the pilot. If we ever have a data breach that is likely to affect you, we will tell you and the PDPC as the law requires.
Cookies
We do not use advertising cookies. We use privacy-friendly Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies, and Cloudflare Turnstile to stop bots on the waitlist form. Your browser stores your invite code and campaign tags locally so a referral is credited correctly.
